Q: What are the dates?
A: Aug 11-13. Welcome dinner the eve of the 11th, the conference is the 12th, leaving on the 13th.
Q: How do I book my hotel room?
A: You will receive the discount code after you complete your event registration in your confirmation email.
Q: Is there a discount if I go to Midwest Dreamin too?
A: No discount, but there will be extra swag for those that also attend #MWD17.
Q: What location?
A: The Eaglewood Resort, outside of central Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Q: How do we get there?
A: The O’Hare International Airport is nearby and we hope to provide shuttles for the event during certain set times on Friday. Busses or shuttles will be provided from the hotel at Midwest Dreamin Friday afternoon for those that plan to join us, whether for all weekend or just for the dinner.
Q: When does early-bird registration end?
A: April 26th, or as soon as we’ve met our price-level capacity.
Q: When does registration close?
A: Early July, or as soon as we’ve met our event capacity.
Q: Is this the same group that puts on the Dreamforce event?
A: No, that is made up of SFDC employees, this is community-led Women In Tech User Group leaders.
Q: Are meals included?
A: Yes, dinner on 8/11/17, as well as continental breakfast, boxed lunch, afternoon snack and happy hour on 8/12/17.
Q: Are there vegan/vegetarian, kosher or food allergy options?
A: Yes, we will collect this information from registered attendees closer to the event.
Q: Why over a weekend?
A: We surveyed our 4k members & this is what the majority of respondents indicated: over the weekend either before or after another major community event.
Q: What do I wear?
A: Anything from Business Casual to your favorite Salesforce branded T-shirts & Hoodies. Do be sure to dress in layers, as we will have portions of time outdoors in summertime mixed with breakout sessions in full air-conditioning.
Q: How is this different from the Regional Events like MWD?
A: This is a global audience & planning team, for one, and the content focus is different. WITness Success will be focused solely on women’s careers on the Salesforce ecosystem instead of “how to” Salesforce.
Q: Will I register for breakout sessions?
A: Not this year. All breakouts will be first-come, first-served and due to limited space for workshops, there will be a per attendee limit.
Q: Do you have any space for additional speakers?
A: Not at this time for 2017. A call for speakers was live during the month of April as well as invitations sent out to our keynote speakers. Breakout sessions will be led by our WIT community members as well as Salesforce dignitaries.
Q: How did you select breakout speakers?
A: Our content team, made up of WIT user group leaders, used a blind process to rank the submitted session abstracts. Only the top ranked submissions made the cut.
Q: Who is the audience at Friday’s event?
A: The whole SFDC ecosystem that plans to be in Chicago that evening is invited, as well as #WITconf17 attendees. In fact, the Friday dinner is included in the cost of full registration for the event.

Q: Can rooms be shared?
A: Yes, at your own coordination & discretion, the hotel will allow room sharing.
Q: What if I have accessibility needs?
A: All attendees will be able to access the conference content. We have made sure that there is plenty of time built into the schedule for transition times, even if an attendee is using the ramps & elevators to navigate the venue. If you’re staying at the hotel, we recommend you reserve your room in the South Tower of the hotel, as this is the closest a hotel guest can get to the conference center. We will also survey registered attendees for any other accommodations we can provide.
Q: I signed up for the full conference pass. Do I need to register for the dinner too?
A: No, the Friday dinner is included in the cost of full registration for the event.
